I loved what was said about the rainbow–I’ll let you watch that for yourself! My daughter’s favorite portion concerned the Flood Movie Pitch. I am a Bible college graduate, and I have studied the Bible practically all my life, but Kirk Cameron challenged me to look at a few things in the familiar stories of Genesis that I never had quite in the way he suggested. She didn’t pick up her tablet once during the film (that is really saying something since she is practically glued to her kindle fire), and she asked a few pertinent questions as we went along. My daughter was completely riveted, and I am really glad she got to see it. There were a few times it seemed a little slow, but it most importantly answered the question it set out to answer–Why do bad things happen to good people? This is a question that cannot be fully answered on this side of eternity, but Kirk Cameron took us back to Scripture for the answers. My mom and I had some minor theological differences (that I’m not mentioning because they were minor), but for the most part, we were impressed with the film. My mom, my dad, my daughter (who is 10), and I watched this together as a family, and I have to say that I was completely impressed. When I heard about his conversion and his sister’s, I was intrigued.
